Road, Rage against the Dying of the Light

Having myself been cut off by an SUV driving 50mph in a 30 this morning — swerving through a lane of parked cars on the right to get in front of me — I think it's absolutely ridiculous that this woman was even arrested.

And the fact that she has been held in jail for over a month is a crime entire of itself. And what of the people who cut her off? Didn't their actions put others at risk, too?

[If you hadn't noticed, my daily commute is really getting to me.]

Who was in the wrong? I'm confused. I would have thought endangering the lives of 3 children, their mother, and another pregnant woman would be the bigger issue. The girl who got "attacked" said they didn't even notice the other car until that happened. Really? They cut another car off twice to then finally make note of it? Weird.

XO - My thoughts exactly. They were probably too busy swerving in and out of traffic to notice the makes & models of the cars they were cutting off.

And I hate to say it, but I'd like to see if the boyfriend & girlfriend were white. Holding this (African American) woman in jail for over a month for such a minor offense — not to mention one that was instigated by the supposed "victims" carelessness — leads me to believe there's more to the story.
