Haiku/Gesundheit (Volume XLIX)
because you're so much more important than everyone else
you walk side by side
in a hallway built for two
guess i'll turn sideways
and i thought maude was neurotic before
she leans toward the sink
meowing as water drips
"cup your hands or else"
a philosopher's post script
my dearest nietzsche:
what doesn't kill us today
kills in increments
a fortune cookie haiku
the pleasure of what
we enjoy is lost in the
desire for more

I want Maude to have her own tv show.
Oh, I like the Nietzche one. I'm gonna steal that and make it part of my philosphical ramblings. Hope you don't mind.
Maude's too cool for school.
When people in the hall or on the sidewalk do that. I stop walking and plant my feet. "I ain't movin' and you are going to have to move aside or run me over." You would be surprised how often this causes comments.

I love your haikus.
Winter - That's an excellent idea! Let's get together, go over a few ideas, and pitch the concept to FOX.
I hear they'll take anything.
DWC - So long as I'm given proper credit — and a million dollars — I don't mind at all.
BPP - Well, bummer. Looks like my sarcastic take on the quote wasn't the first of its kind.
Plus, now I want that sign.
Woodrow - Thanks! Looking forward to seeing more of yours.
You're not even 2billionth worst, not after that.
I like the Princess Bride and Bartleby and Harold and Maude too, we must be old friends!
