Haiku/Gesundheit (Volume XXVIII)

two star hotel; five star creepiness

this time next week
i'll be bunking at day's inn
bet you're envious

i am not a pretty girl

what's wrong with having
a realistic self image
no photographs, please
where's maury povich when your family needs 'em?
(or, "making light of unfortunate situations")

paternity test says
who the baby's daddy be
we wait anxiously
dear mom and dad
(or, "another childhood myth bites the dust")

it's time to admit
high priced shoes feel much better
was everything false?
my work persona is my non-work persona's biggest fan

most e-mail i get
i sent to myself from work
"must finish tonight"

Yeah, that line about the cheaper one being just as good... didn't take long to figure out that is was just a line.

We're still waiting for the results, but I may or may not be a mother.

Correction.

My youngest cousin may be a father. I always get those confused.

[For the record — and to avoid making this further sound like a Jerry Springer episode — the first statement, spoken in jest, is in no way connected to the second.]
