Only One Letter Separates "Loner" from "Loser"

A recent picture of Maude (along with other photos) arrived in the mail yesterday. I shoved the stack into my bag, and re-disovered them this morning when retrieving my padfolio.

I figured so long as I had the picture out, I may as well show those 2 or 3 people who've heard so many Maude-themed horror stories. It seemed harmless at first, but I quickly realized that I'm just two steps away from having wallet-sized prints made. Perhaps even a "100% Maude" flip book.

So, yes, it's official.

I'm one of those people.

we have a co-worker who cuts herself out of pictures she takes of herself and her cat - then brings them in and shows them around.

please tell me you're not...

as long as you're not, it's much more than one letter that separates the two. otherwise no alphabet that can save you.

Oh, the poor dear. I'm a tad confused, however.

Are you saying she...

A. Cuts her own image out of pictures with the cat, and then shows the pictures of the cat, with her cut out?

B. Cuts her own image out of pictures with the cat, and then shows the pictures of herself, sans cat?

or

C. She crops images of she and her cat, and then distributes those cropped images — of both she and her cat — to co-workers?

Regardless, hearing this makes me feel better. I showed only the picture I posted here — with no one cropped out — and I only shared it with folks who've relayed stories or photos of their own pets.

come on, she's crazy - she takes the pictures and cuts herself out and brings in the pictures of the cats with a big space cut out where she would have went. she also has asthma and coughs continuously and is allergic to cats but lets the thing sleep on her pillow.

yes, you should feel better.

You aren't quite so bad. It isn't like Maude is your surrogate child. You were just showing pics to people who you had mentioned Maude to. Now, if you start yelling at those damn kids to leave your poor cats alone, then we have problems.

As long as you refuse any and all gifts that are "cat related".. as in figurines, t-shirts, and bumper stickers.

You'll be okay.

ds - that's actually quite sad. someone should talk her out to dinner or something.

BPP - I did refer to Maude as my "child" to one co-worker. Seriously.

Is that a problem?

WINTER: Oh, no! I'm actually working on developing a "Life is PURRRRRFECT when you have a kitty" bumper sticker. Not a good idea?

On a more "serious" note, friends did send me a Live Action figurine of a Crazy Cat Lady (she's wearing a robe, has frazzled hair, and is surrounded by cats). How could I have refused that?

cats... for better or naught the just sort of make one "that way." i think its the eyes. the eyes of a cat are programmed to take over. you will do the bidding of a cat... whether you like it or not.

oh, and maude is very regal looking cat. i am paricularly imporessed by her white bib.
