My kids have a hard enough time trying to spell the correct way. I don't think any of them need to know about this guy.

I still can't figure out why the idea of "sounding out a word" is completely beyond most kids comprehension.

My god. He's stolen my idea.

I am getting a real feeling about memes. Have you ever read Snowcrash by Niel Stephenson?

I do hate letters, because of the letter my last name starts with, I was always put in the back of the classroom in school.

So the alphabet sorta sucks, but I really want to know who alphabetized the alphabet? We need to come after that guy.

No, I haven't heard of it... but I'll look into it.

I had the same problem. With all the wisdom of a 9-year-old spurned by classroom lines, I determined then that, when I grew up, I'd marry a guy whose last name was at the beginning of the alphabet.

[That way my kids would NEVER be the last ones out to recess.]

Unfortunately I've had the same thoughts on the last name. I was better off than those at the end of the line. However, the days that we switched, I was still directly in the middle.
