Hey, Jude

I'm not Catholic, but Jude has long been my patron saint.

I light his candle in my dining room window some nights to clear the air (Maude can attest to this, having singed her whiskers on the flame). And some months ago I acquired a little coin that bears Jude's silhouette on one side... and a prayer to him on the other.

If you've been reading this blog for any duration of time, then you probably understand my fascination.

Come on Thirdworst, there is no way Jude should be your patron saint. I sent you St. Christopher, patron saint of travelers when you were making the move.
Tangent- Judas was drunk when he took the money to pay for a prostitute which led to the betrayal of Jesus. Can you believe it?

I can, sadly. Men often behave poorly when they have a little too much alcohol in their bloodstream.

The tragedy for Jude being that people often confuse him for Judas, which is probably why his "prayer" (or at least, the prayer I link to) opens as it does.

Hey, I got your card today. Thanks. I laughed when I read it because I actually DID have my iPod in my ears for a while.

Thanks again
