what are they prostesting? someone is always protesting something.

DWC - I took this one a few years ago... there was a group protesting our invasion of Afghanistan (this was a bit before we even went into Iraq). On the other side of the (very loud) protest line, a group of Veterans had gathered. They stood silently on the other side, holding their American flags.

You can't tell because this file is low res, but this man's hat says "Vietnam Veteran."

A friend and I talked to him that day -- asked if we could take his picture.

It was a very interesting protest. Showed that silence, in the proper time and place, can speak volumes.
